What can you do to take advantage off Easter Holidays, and what can you do to get truly great East Cards

March 8th, 2010

Easter holidays are much awaited by both children and adults as it gives them a reason to celebrate and enjoy with their loved ones. Many of us get ready with invitation cards to invite family and friends for a sumptuous dinner. Others get ready with their Easter cards. Most of us prefer sending out personalized easter greeting cards. Have you ever considered why you shouldnt switch to the e-mode of cards since now everybody is turning to computers and the internet for their day to day communications?. Research also show that Nintendo Wii Console is being used to bring distant families together, during easter

You could also choose to settle for printable easter cards that can be printed and completed within a matter of a second while giving you the highest affordability. Not many like to change from their traditional work. This is why you should get your children to start on it first. Children mostly prefer to use pencils, papers and crayons along with glue and glitter for making easter cards. If you could find a child-friendly software, they could do all that they used to do manually, on the computer, itself. It will also give them the chance of learning more about the computer, if they didn’t know about it.

Since children are quick at learning you should always stimulate their interest by providing up to date easter cards making software on the computer. Today, if you browse the Internet, it will take only a few minutes to get hold of some good software s that can create printable Easter cards. Many such software comes equipped with templates that can be used as you please along with a choice of images.

Before trying to teach your kids, sit down to exploring the software yourself first. There is a higher probability that things could go wrong with kids when making Easter cards on the computer. That is why being prepared is very important. So that when your kids need help, you could easily guide them.

Printable easter cards are also available through websites for a nominal fee. There are of course people who offer software for free. This can be a bit tricky as most of the companies who do offer things for free expect something in return. Some say that the software for Easter cards is free, but later when you do go to print it, you are asked for money. Some individuals offer free templates, etc for Easter cards but only if you are willing to print the Easter cards with their logo on the side, you can read more about at Pr Release.

Family Activites You Can Do While Camping

January 8th, 2010

Camping is one of the most favorite things people love to do.  It is especially fun to take out the whole family to a campsite. There are a lot of things that can be done when you get to a campsite.Probably the funnest part is just being able to enjoy your time and getting away from it all.  So in this article we are going to go over some things you can do when camping.

The first activity you might want to do when you set up camp is to go on a hike through all their trails.  You can enjoy the hiking trails a couple of ways.Of course the whole family can be taken on a hike.Or if you are the type that likes adventure, you can go biking on the trails if you are allowed. This is wonderful thing to do.  It is something I suggest all clients of my San Diego RV rentals service to do.

Something else that will be fun to do while you are camping is to go fishing.Of course the campground you choose is going to need to have fish in a lake. But if the camp site you choose does have one, fishing is going to be one of the best parts of the camping trip with the family. You can go fishing for hours if you want to just to try to catch fish.  And with the trailers you can rent like the ones at my Carlsbad RV rentals service you can store all the fish you catch in the refrigerator.

Another great thing to do when camping is to go to different locations within a camping area. Now this is something that won’t be so easy if you are camping with the normal tent. The main reason is the time you would have to take packing up and moving each time.  But if you rent an RV like the ones in my Campland on the Bay RV rentals service it makes it easy to move.

So those are some fun things you can do when you go camping. As you can see if you decide to go camping with the family there are a lot of things you can do.

Travel Mistakes I Could Have Avoided

September 30th, 2009

I hate having to travel on business but luckily for me my business trips are few and not very frequent. On a recent business trip I made to the USA I must have made every novice traveller mistake in the book.

Things started to go wrong when I arrived at Gatwick airport in my car only to find that there were no more available airport parking spaces close to my terminal. I had to pay a premium price for a parking space that was miles from the airport.

I was already late and this only made the situation worse. This didn’t go down well at the check in desk where they told me that I should have arrived an hour earlier. I was also told that I could have printed my boarding pass and checked in online before leaving home. Well you live and learn I suppose.

Starting early had meant leaving home without eating, so I immediately headed for one of the airport restaurants. The prices for a full English breakfast were unbelievable and it wasn’t much less for a simple continental.

I arrived in Atlanta and immediately headed for one of the car hire providers. It turned out that most of the best models were alread out on hire due to the number of conferences taking place. I had to accept a big old Chevrolet pickup for the duration of my stay. If I’d booked in advance I’d have saved my employers some money and probably got the car that I wanted.

When I returned to Atlanta airport for my homeward journey I omitted to remove my keys from my pocket and had chosen a different belt which has a heavy metal buckle. This resulted in my undergoing no less than three body scans before I successfully passed through the security check.

After boarding my flight I noticed that I had lost my PDA. It may have been stolen, but its more likely that I left it in the airport bar where I’d had a beer before my flight. Unfortunately my travel insurance didn’t cover me for lost or stolen items like this.

I think it should be obvious that I am a bit rusty when it comes to air travel these days. I think I should simply stay put here in the UK.

Flying on the Cheap

September 8th, 2009

Cheap airfare is any tourists jackpot. But the question is, is it possible to find cheap airfare, in this day and age? Why would any airline offer cheap airfare when rest of the world is facing a credit crunch and when everything under the sun is becoming too expensive to afford?

Yes! It is possible to find cheap airfare even as of today and the secret behind this amazing concept lies in business instability. If airlines did not offer cheap airfare rates, their destiny would soon become a grey cloud and who know? they may even face bankruptcy. So putting some critical thinking in to practice, airlines have decided to offer cheap airfare under certain conditions. This way the airlines can at least cover their costs as opposed to not being able to withstand their overheads at all.  Then, check out the Pontiac Solstice windscreen windblocker wind deflector wind restrictor windstop.

There are a few very important points to consider when you want to travel around. It would be stupid to think that cheap airfare rates come with no strings attached. So when you buy cheap airfare you will have to be careful. You don’t want to depart from New York and land back at Alaska, do you? Well, unfortunately sometimes your travel arrangement will be similarly set up. That is why you need to double check every single detail before you purchase your cheap airfare..  Then, check out the Cadillac XLR windscreen windblocker wind deflector wind restrictor windstop.

If you are a jolly traveler, changing airports or arriving at and parting from different airports should not be a problem. But if it is not the case, you will face much trouble during your vacation. So it is important to sit down with your travel agent and talk about all possible routines to take, before you confirm the tickets.  Then, check out the Chrysler Crossfire windscreen windblocker wind deflector wind restrictor windstop.

If youare traveling to Europe, you have little to worry about cheap airfare deals because you will find plenty. However, many tourists prefer catching a train or a private coach for traveling within Europe because it is a great way of enjoying scenic beauty.

The luxury of train or coach is not a choice in Asia. So look out for budget airlines which offer cheap airfare to get you where you want to be this season!…

If your staff arent smiling, by a smile scanner to teach them to do better!

August 2nd, 2009

The advancement of technology has astounded the world. From mobile phones the size of little dogs to the size of a pencil sharpener. But nobody is better at creating new and unusual technology than the Japanese.

According to sources, the Japanese Railway company Keihin, has purchased a new piece of technology called a Smile Scanner! It is designed to help employees to smile more at work, and to improve their smile.

According to reports, every morning the employees must go over to this smile scanner and smile as much as possible into a monitor. The amazing (yet somewhat scary machine) then tells you what is wrong with your smile. It works by scanning your face and analysing things like; lip curvature, eye movement and all your facial wrinkles. After it has finished analysing your face, the machine gives you a score out of one hundred, informing you of the quality of your smile.

If you really want it, the machine can tell you how to improve. If it believes your smile to be unacceptable, it will tell you to improve the corner of your mouth by lifting it up. This machine will also print out a picture for you and print the best possible smile it thinks you can produce on it. So that if you start to feel gloomy throughout the day it will uplift your spirits.

It has been rumoured that this could also be incorporated onto flights for flight attendants to keep reminding themselves to stay smiling. So on your next Caribbean holidays or Canada holidays and you find one of these crazed smiles staring at you. Now at least you will have the knowledge that they aren’t just completely loopy.

If anything the use of this machine will bring a smile to the employees face, surely it must be quite amusing. However if you were to use it everyday, you would probably get quite bored.

Car Rental Saving Made Simple

July 20th, 2009

Many people are completely unaware of how much they can save on their car hire charges by booking in advance. There are some truly fantastic online comparison facilities that can be used to locate the best vehicles at the best prices.

There are certain very busy times of year for car hire. The school summer holidays along with the Christmas period are both notoriously busy for car hire firms. If you really need to hire a car during these high demand periods be certain to compare prices and bookk well in advance.

The car hire industry is incredibly competitive with a whole host of companies trying to beat each other on price and service. We are so lucky to have the internet which makes comparing prices and availability from all major car hire firms truly simple.

One such service is provided by Gosimply.com the travel services comparison site, noted for their exceptionally cheap airport parking, airport hotels and lounges services. Their exceptionally user-friendly facility makes it really simple to enter the details of your car hire requirements and compare prices. Their service is not dedicated to the UK, but covers all major international destinations. All you have to provide are the dates when you want to hire the car and the places where you want to pick up and return the vehicle, then hit the ‘compare prices’ button.

The Gosimply worldwide car hire booking system will then present you with a number of vehicles and options to choose from. The available cars are immediately presented with the cheapest at the top of the list but you can choose to re-sort the page by various criteria including the vehicle size and type. You can also select a few additional options including an automatice gearbox, a GPS and air conditioning.

The car hire comparison tool is one of those cool online facilities that make me wonder how I ever managed without. In no time at all you will be presented with a selection of cars to choose from that would have taken many hours to research and source from various individual car hire sites.

Why Passenger Surveys are a Transport Operator’s Best Friend

May 21st, 2009

Those public transport operators who already use passenger surveys may not fully appreciate the multiple benefits that surveys can bring. Surveys are not only an efficient method for conducting market research that will help towards identifying any passenger dissatisfaction, they are also the perfect tool for measuring the effects of any improvements and can simultaneously help promote new initiatives to the customers using the service.

Establishing a Starting Point

When embarking on any change management programme it is always good practice to establish a base line before any changes are made. This baseline survey can serve four purposes, it will:-

  • allow the proper targeting of investment
  • allow measurement of the effect of change
  • assist in the moral of those implementing change
  • ensure that new issues are kept separate from the original plan and budget

Targeting Investment

There are many areas of any public transport system that can cause passenger dissatisfaction all of which need to be monitored to ensure that the service being provided meets, and where possible, exceeds, performance level targets.

Issues that can be of concern to passenger include:-

  • safety and security
  • punctuality
  • fares and ticket types
  • capacity and overcrowding
  • quality and design of vehicle
  • cleanliness
  • facilities at stations and terminals
  • facilities for passengers with disabilities

Often limited resources and budgets means that investment needs to be carefully planned and properly targeted.

With passenger surveys operators can identify those areas that are of most concern to their customers. By analysing passenger feedback the operator can ensure that their improvement and investment plans are in line with passenger demands and concerns. Issues can be classified into low and high priority, as well as short and long term plans.

Major capital investment such as the building of infrastructure for example new terminals, runways, laying new track or upgrading air traffic control or rail signalling equipment may take many years to implement. However, the initial survey will almost certainly highlight some concerns that can be resolved almost immediately at a relative low cost.

Measuring Change

From having established a comprehensive programme from an initial survey the objectives for running periodic surveys are twofold.

One objective will be to confirm that any changes and initiatives that are implemented have had the desired effect in positively addressing passenger issues. A second objective will be to promote and advertise the initiatives that have been implemented and also inform and educate passengers of ongoing improvements and future plans.

Many seasoned passengers can appreciate that it can take time to resolve some of their concerns and if they know that the problems have been recognized and are not being ignored they will hopefully become more tolerant.

Keeping Moral

Those implementing change can often develop a siege mentality. It can take time for changes to take effect and for any improvements to be appreciated by the passengers.

By monitoring passenger opinion and measuring the results against earlier surveys a successful change programme should see passenger issues change over time, some issues that were problems will no longer be raised.

Passengers will be slow to appreciate any progress and those working implementing change can become demoralised with criticism from what is often a very negative public. It is vital that a team implementing change can see clearly the effects of their efforts.

Identifying New and Old

In any long term change management programme issues can change over time. Events can happen that make what was important, no longer important and what wasn’t an issue, an issue.

A baseline survey will make sure that the passengers concerns are chronologically documented. The needs and attitudes of passengers evolve over time, individual travel requirements change, fashion changes, life styles develop along with technology. Monthly surveys will ensure that any changes in passenger attitudes are monitored.

Online Surveys Make It Easy

Online surveys can reach a broad cross section of any travelling public. They are quick to design and implement and they provide feedback in a format that is ready for detailed analysis. Because of the flexibility and low cost of online surveys it is practical to publish multiple surveys that target specific groups ensuring that the needs of people are fully understood.

Through online passenger surveys the operators can collate valuable market research data and promote their commitment to passenger satisfaction.

Passengers benefit by having a forum to raise issues and through regular surveys will begin to appreciate that their concerns are acknowledged and the operator is committed to investing and improving the service. The following are links to samples of Passenger Surveys

Passenger Surveys - Quick, Simple and Very Effective

May 20th, 2009

Those public transport operators who already use passenger surveys may not fully appreciate the multiple benefits that surveys can bring. Gathering market research is only one use for surveys, a second is the ability to measure the effectiveness of new initiatives as they are introduced and a third is to help promote the new initiatives to the customers.

Passengers may be more positive if they can see that improvements have been made and more accepting of outstanding problems if they know that problems have been recognised and are in the process of being addressed.

Keeping Moral

Those implementing change can often develop a siege mentality. Passengers may not immediately notice any improvements as it can take time for any changes made to take effect.

Online surveys provide operators with a quick and easy method to collate good market research data while at the same time provide a platform to advertise and promote a commitment to passenger satisfaction.
